Our Annual General Meeting (AGM) is only 2 weeks away and we would love for you to join us, in person or via livestream, on our ride through an exciting 2020-2021 followed by our guest speaker John Darcy talking about farm safety.

Every morning, farming families in our community wake up early, slip on their boots and hats and walk out their front doors, arriving on the jobsite the moment they take that first step. For them, there is no separation between home and work.

Farming is a lifestyle, not just a job, and is one of the most dangerous occupations in Australia providing many hazards, like machinery, animals, chemicals, heights, confined spaces, heavy loads and working alone and in remote locations.

To ensure that every boot crosses that threshold as the sun goes down, it’s important that our farmers are equipped with up-to-date knowledge and resources that will keep them safe every day of their life.

John, Senior Farm Safety Advisor at Victorian Farmers Federation, is a highly experienced (33 years) safety and workers compensation practitioner with a real desire to make farms safer in a meaningful and practical way. He provides up to date resources that will help farmers to be proactive with their safe work practices and make informed decisions on a day-to-day basis.

We can all play a part in helping to alleviate some of the pressures of farming life and we look forward to having your company at our AGM to continue to work together for a healthy community.
