Social Support Group February Update

Our Social Support Groups had a busy month in February celebrating a special birthday and acknowledging Scout’s Founders Day.

Beryl

🎂 Beryl Garrow turned 90 last Thursday 28th February 2019. 🎁 The Social Support Group spent the day celebrating with Beryl and took her back in time, playing games such as pass the parcel and pin the necklace on Beryl, as well as an Egg and Spoon race. Many happy returns to Beryl. 🥳

Ron Greagan

We recently acknowledged ⚜️Scout Founder’s Day ⚜️with a presentation by Ron Greagan.

Founder’s Day is celebrated on 22 February each year, on the birthday of Scout’s founder Robert Baden-Powell. Baden-Powell established the Scouts movement in England in 1908. The Social Support Group celebrated with an Ex-Scout leader from Cobden – Ron Greagan, who volunteered his time to talk to the group about Scouts, Cubs and Girl Guides. He also showed them how to tie some knots. Ron is pictured with an older Scouts uniform and some memorabilia.
