Mr McKenzie said he was proud to welcome Maryanne Puli Vogels, Gerry Keely, Claire Murphy, Anne Skordis, Chris Stewart and Paul Washington to the Board of Governance.

They join John Renyard, Wendy Cameron, Jason Chuck, Bryce Morden and himself who served on the previous board.

“We all have diverse backgrounds, which is really important in contributing broad skillsets and different perspectives to the strategic direction of our multipurpose service,” Mr McKenzie said.

“Gerry, Claire and Chris all have experience within the health industry, while Anne brings us a wealth of expertise around the National Disability Insurance Scheme, Maryanne comes from an education background and Paul is a corporate lawyer.

“I’m looking forward to working with the new Board members and continuing to work with John, Wendy, Jason and Bryce to oversee Timboon and District Healthcare Service’s governance, risk management and strategic direction over the next three years.”

Chief Executive Officer Gerry Sheehan said it was an exciting time for Timboon and District Healthcare Service and the collective skills and expertise of the Board members was a fantastic asset for the organisation.

“I’d like to congratulate all the members on their appointment to the Board,” he said.

“The process to become a board member is very thorough and all the applicants were required to invest a great deal of time into the process.

“I commend all volunteers who fill important roles in our community and look forward to working with our new Board of Governance for the betterment of Timboon and District Healthcare Service.”
