29 Jan Health Screen Days were a hit
TDHS Health Screen Days on 27th and 28th January proved to be an extremely popular event with about 90 community members taking advantage of a range of health screens including Blood Glucose Levels, Cholesterol, Musculoskeletal Assessment , Nutritional Assessment and Advice, Hearing Australia Screen and Molemap Skin Checks. Participants also had access to a wide variety of health information and resources.
A healthy spread of fruit, muffins, juice and tea/coffee was provided on completion of blood tests. This was warmly welcomed as participants had fasted in order to have their bloods taken. A comment from a community member ‘great food, great service, very efficient’.
Other comments from the day included:
‘A brilliant initiative – thanks so much, if just one person has been helped regarding the seriousness of their condition it has been well worth it.’
‘I was extremely impressed with the service on a whole, from the moment I entered the health care area I was met with professionalism, friendliness and knowledge, people who showed they cared about the individual – A wonderful service, we are very privileged to have this level of health care in Timboon’.
