27 Jul COVID-19 Update from Timboon and District Healthcare Service | 26 July 2022
With COVID cases on the rise now is a great time for a reminder of how to keep you and your family safe this winter. For the next month we will be providing weekly tips, updates and reminders on how to protect yourself and our community.
This week we explore: Protecting against COVID-19
Protecting against COVID-19
The following actions can assist in preventing the spread of COVID-19:
- HAND HYGIENE
Practicing good hand hygiene is one of the best ways to protect yourself from COVID-19. It is essential to keep your hands clean – especially when out in public
- WEAR A MASK
Wearing a face mask can help stop droplets from spreading when people talk, cough and sneeze, which reduces the risk of COVID-19. Masks are recommended when indoors and when social distancing is not possible
COVID-19 vaccination can prevent people from becoming very sick if they catch COVID-19. If you are not vaccinated or are eligible for your booster shot, you can contact Timboon Clinic on 5558 6088 to book an appointment
- SOCIAL DISTANCING
Keeping your distance from other people (1.5 metres) and avoiding crowded areas can help reduce the risk of the virus being transmitted
