Today Timboon and District Healthcare Service showed its  staff how much their work contributes to supporting the high quality of care provided to aged care residents and how much they are appreciated, by taking part in Celebrating Aged Care Week (17 – 23 October).

Acting Chief Executive Officer, Kim White, said the nursing team and support staff contributed enormously to residents’ quality of life and to providing a safe and supportive home for people requiring care in their later years.  “Our staff genuinely care and are committed to giving their best in their work.”

Celebrating Aged Care Week has been running since 2012 and is an initiative of the Public Sector Residential Aged Care Leadership Committee; a network of public sector aged care directors of nursing committed to the improvement of the public residential aged care sector.

And the sponge cake was delicious!!
