18 Jun Appeal to help fund new emergency trolleys
Fundraising is now underway to help Timboon and District Healthcare Service (TDHS) purchase new emergency trolleys that will assist with the quick response to life-threatening medical conditions or injuries.
TDHS board president Maryanne Puli Vogels has launched the organisation’s Annual Equipment Appeal and is urging community members, who can, to contribute to the fundraising tally.
“With the support of our community, the focus of this year’s appeal is to improve our emergency set up and equipment in urgent care so that we can respond to emergencies quickly,” she said.
“All money raised during the appeal will be used to upgrade our emergency trolleys to allow for quick, easy access to vital equipment in an emergency.”
Ms Puli Vogels said the annual appeal had provided vital funds over the years to help purchase vital medical equipment and help TDHS continue to deliver the best care.
“Community donations through our annual appeal make a difference to the lives of our patients,” she said.
“It takes considerable resources to maintain and improve our services and facilities and we’re extremely grateful that our community shares our dedication to patient care.”
Ms Puli Vogels said donations could be made via cash, cheque and direct deposit. She said a letter and donation form was being sent to all households in the region this week and a copy would also be printed in the Quarterly Newsletter which would be available in The Cobden Timboon Coast Times on June 27.
The form can also be printed from the organisation’s website and is available at reception.
“I’d like to thank our wonderful community for its support through our past appeals and we look forward to continued support to deliver optimum health and wellbeing outcomes for our community,” she said.
“Together we can make a difference to people’s lives and work towards a healthier future for all.”
