Speech Pathology
A speech pathologist is a health professional who diagnoses and treats communication and swallowing difficulties.
Speech Pathologists can:
- Work with a child who is difficult to understand
- Encourage development of language skills
- Work with a child who stutters to speak more fluently and confidently
- Support a child who is having difficulty understanding and following directions
- Assess and provide ongoing management to an adult who is experiencing swallowing difficulties
The speech pathologist liaises with medical staff, other allied health, nursing staff, teachers and parents to develop comprehensive support programs and maximize therapy benefits.
We do accept referrals from Doctors and other Health Professionals, however, referrals are not necessary. Please contact our Reception on (03) 5558 6000 to enquire.
