About the role

Reporting to the Executive Assistant, the Administrative Officer Trainee is key to supporting the effective and efficient functioning of the Executive team through providing day-to-day diary and appointment coordination, administrative and office management, and meeting and committee support. The Administrative Officer Trainee will provide general administrative support throughout the health service including at our front reception desk. This position will receive training and support to attain a Certificate III in Business with opportunities for study time.

Duties include:

  • Provide prompt and courteous communication to all stakeholders as point of contact for Director’s
  • Arrange and provide quality support to committees, meetings and working parties including room bookings, meeting preparation and coordination and minute taking.
  • Perform front reception duties and ensure all patients and clients are greeted in a timely, professional and welcoming manner in person or via the phone.

This is a fixed term position for 12 months, with the option for part time or full time hours. The classification for this position will be according to Schedule E – National Training Wage. Terms and Conditions of Employment will be in line with the Victorian Public Health Sector (Health and Allied Services, Managers and Administrative Workers) Single Interest Enterprise Agreement 2020 – 2024.
