Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea proudly hosted at TDHS

Held at TDHS, the morning welcomed around 45–50 people, with everyone bringing along a plate to share while enjoying a cuppa, conversation and connection.

We were privileged to hear from four incredibly brave guest speakers who shared their personal experiences with cancer:

Cheryl Miller spoke about supporting her daughter through melanoma as both a mother and carer.

Glenda Walker shared the challenges her family has faced since her husband’s cancer diagnosis last year.

Janet Goodall spoke openly about her experience battling breast cancer twice while raising her children.

Rhiannon Perry, one of our own TDHS staff members, courageously shared her recent Stage 3 bowel cancer diagnosis and treatment journey.

There were plenty of emotional moments throughout the morning, along with strength, honesty and hope. Each story was a powerful reminder of why fundraising and support services are so important for those affected by cancer.

Thanks to the incredible generosity of our community, approximately $1,700 was raised for Cancer Council Australia through the event.
