To provide patient centered care Timboon and District Healthcare Service will have to collect personal information, such as your name, address, medical history and this data might also be used for processing accounts, processing reports required by legislation and for the passing on of information relevant to your health care.

To protect the privacy of your health information the Department of Health and Human Services’ The Health Records Act 2001, created a framework to protect the privacy of individuals’ health information, regulating the collection and handling of health information, including the 11 Health Privacy Principles (HPPs).
