Chief Executive Officer

Timboon & District Healthcare Service (TDHS) is seeking an experienced and suitably qualified health executive for this outstanding career opportunity.

TDHS is a Multi-Purpose Service (MPS) providing a broad range of acute, aged care, primary care and community-based health services across the Timboon and district region. The service supports approximately 7,700 residents across the southern Corangamite Shire and eastern Moyne Shire, including the communities of Timboon, Cobden, Simpson, Princetown, Port Campbell, Peterborough and Nullawarre.

The Chief Executive Officer plays a pivotal role in enabling the Board to fulfil its governance responsibilities while implementing the strategic direction of the organisation. The successful applicant will ensure TDHS continues to deliver high-quality health services, maintains an excellent reputation, meets statutory obligations and complies with Victorian Department of Health policies and procedures.

The CEO is responsible for the operational, clinical, financial and human resource management of TDHS. The role also requires building and maintaining strong relationships with health professionals, fostering positive community partnerships, and working collaboratively with partner organisations across the South West Local Health Service Network.

To be successful, you will hold a relevant tertiary qualification with postgraduate qualifications in a clinical field, health administration, business or quality management. You will demonstrate proven executive leadership within a complex organisation, with a strong track record of delivering high-quality health services, achieving key performance indicators and managing budgets within tight fiscal constraints.

The Board is seeking a leader with exceptional integrity, transparency and the ability to build trust. Previous executive or senior administrative experience within a Victorian small rural public health service will be highly regarded.
